Taylor and Colbey | Verrado Golf Club Wedding

Everybody needs a fan. Taylor has been Colbey’s number one fan since the couple met during their sophomore year at Verrado High School. She was always in the stands cheering at his football games and he worked hard to plan nice dates, including the night of their two-year anniversary, when he planned to propose under the twinkling lights of Glendale Glitters.

Things didn’t quite go as planned that night, so Colbey had to make a quick move to pull off the proposal. The evening of November 28, 2015 was quite cold. When they arrived at the event, Taylor’s feet hurt and she didn’t feel like getting out in the chilly weather. They headed home. The ring was burning a hole in Colbey’s pocket, so after getting Taylor back to her house, he dropped to one knee in her bedroom and popped the question. She said YES!

A two-year engagement followed while Colbey attended college. A long-distance relationship was no match for these high school sweethearts. They talked on the phone and always watched something together on Netflix every evening.

It was all worth the wait when their wedding at Verrado Golf Club finally arrived. Taylor and Colbey love country music so their theme of rustic elegance fit them perfectly, just like the cowboy boots Taylor wore under her ballroom-style wedding gown.

As the first children in their families to get married, the couple was surrounded by lots of loved ones, including Taylor’s sisters, cousin, and best friend as the bridesmaids, and Colbey’s brother and best friends from college as the groomsmen. It was a joyful and emotional celebration for them all!
