Rebecca and Joshua’s wedding day in Scottsdale Arizona was such a perfect day. For a couple of days before their Big Day, the weather forecast was calling for rain.  Although rain on a Wedding Day can mean good luck, it was more than a bit stressful to think about rain when your wedding venue is completely outdoors. Well, someone must have been praying for no rain, we think Rebecca’s family was :), because by Saturday there was not even a cloud in the beautifully blue Arizona skies.

Rebecca and Joshua’s day started with a traditional Catholic ceremony at the beautiful St. Bernadette Parish in Scottsdale, AZ.  For us photographers is always a little bit more challenging shooting church ceremonies. Churches tend to be very dark and the use of flash is often prohibited. But this church is an amazing exception to that rule. The  high ceilings and the myriad of windows all around the building let in an incredible amount of light, which makes for great pictures. We absolutely love it!

Rebecca looked just stunning in her beautiful Essence of Australia wedding gown. She truly looked like a model. Joshua looked pretty sharp too! He wore a Black Tuxedo from Suit Supply that fit him to the tee. Rebecca and her bridesmaids walked down the aisle holding beautiful bouquets made by The Poppy Shop AZ.  Funny fact: the owner of this floral shop went to school with Rebecca and it was extra special having a school friend create such a special part of her bridal details.

The party continued at the exclusive Country Club at DC Ranch in Scottsdale. They went for a romantic, elegant, but natural outdoor look for their day and this venue more than had everything they wished for. To keep with the elegant look, the bridesmaids wore classic black and the groomsmen wore tuxedos.  So refined!

We also loved seeing one of our past couples and their families at this wedding! Sarah and Alexander got married back in February and that’s when Rebecca and Joshua first found out about us. Check out their Blog Post here: SARA AND ALEXANDER.  Months later it was Rebecca and Joshua’s turn to be the bride and groom.  We were so humbled and honored that they chose us to document it all!! We absolutely LOVE their family and it felt like one big reunion when we were back capturing another special day for all of them.

How special is this? Joshua’s Dad helping him getting ready. By the way his Dad was also his Best Man; so unique!  Love it!!

Such a pretty picture! This is Rebecca with her two sisters, which were her Matron and Maid of Honor, and the littlest member of the family, her adorable niece/Flower Girl.  

This courtyard at The Clubhouse at DC Ranch looked amazing!  Such a beautiful hacienda feel.

Rebecca and Joshua cut a special cake  made just for them and their guest enjoyed delicious ice cream cake, which is Joshua’s favorite treat.
